Today’s outfit, ha: fresh out-of-the-store striped sweater from COS. A thin knit that can be worn even during summer – I have a similar one that I’ve worn constantly during the past two winters but with this new one, it seems I’ve successfully completed my little collection of sailor-esque knits. Pairing it with a boring black skirt and my already broken in, much adored, Chanel flats. Feels like a good choice for a day consisting mostly of coffee, studying, and the traversing of different libraries.

Lovely! I’m going to buy the London/French sole version of these flats soon. At first I wanted a pair of Chanel, but I don’t think I can justify the price. And people here would probably think I’m wearing fake ones, lol.

heart in a cage: They don’t look fake – authentic Chanel is easy to spot! I think the retail price is ridiculous but I was lucky enough to, after endless searching, find a decent priced and good condition pair on eBay.

The outfit sounds perfect and the striped top is so nice! I wish I could visit a COS store. Where do you get your favourite sailor tops? I find A.P.C make the most flattering ones I have tried so far. Completely agree with your comment about authentic Chanel being easy to spot. I saw some carrying a 2.55 reissue on a bus the other week and you could tell from 5m away that it wasn’t a fake
A: I haven’t tried any from A.P.C. yet but from what I’ve seen in store, they’re lovely as well. My other one, a thicker wool, is from Vanessa Bruno and I’ve had it for three years. I also have some vintage striped ones from Paris, etc.. Yes, authentic Chanel can’t be mistaken! Especially when you get up close, it’s so obvious. Something about the leather and detailing.
