Small things that make me happy right now -
I’ve bought pink tulips and plane tickets to Berlin.
The array of fifties dresses currently being stored in my closet.
Listening to classical music and writing stories at night.
Seeing the sky full of drifting clouds.

i just bought tickets to berlin aswell, i’m leaving next saturday. where will you be staying? i haven’t decided on wich hotel to stay at. Do you have any advice?
M: No, unfortunately I don’t. We’re hoping to find someone who will host us. But I’m sure there’s plenty of decent hotels.. maybe write to a blogger who lives there and ask? Good luck!
Wow. Bildene er utrolig vakre! De er nesten som små malerier. Dette kan du!
The snow pictures are magical! And I was thinking: do you have a Goodreads account? Because I love your taste in books!
Kristin: Tack. Det var snällt sagt.
Katie: I don’t have Goodreads but maybe I should try it. Recently I’ve mostly been reading books by swedish authors, though.
I second a Goodreads request :n )
The dress near tulips is beautiful. I wish I could find more 50s dresses, but they have to fit perfect to work. Glad to see a new post x
Love your snow pictures.
This is gorgeous. I love the dress. So romantic, such a dream. I have the same Vivre Sa Vie poster! That’s my favourite film, I think.
Siri: I’ll post a link to it if I get one.
Valerie: I know, finding a nice one takes awhile because of that but many of them seem to fit my measurements, and sometimes it helps to be able to sew
Will: Thank you.
t33ndr3am: It’s a good film, and the poster looks good too.
Perfect.
beautiful plus snowy here too
very cold though no? how could you possibly wear dresses!
Agnes: Yes, with warm tights it’s not a problem.
Ah, you’ll love Berlin! It’s messy and abrasive but at the same time so lovely, so many pretty and witty little details everywhere, good food, the music, the art, the people, the wide streets and the light, the many many faces it has … oh, actually, is it your first time there? Do you already have a list of particular things/places you want to do/see?
Cora: I have been there once before, but it was a rather long time ago. I know some places that I want to visit, but would love advice about nice cafés, bars, pretty streets etc etc..
- i really like the bar ichorya on oranienstraße. it’s a bit of a secret tip, i stumbled over it by accident. cosy interior, quiet, delicious drinks.
- smartdeli on chausseestraße: tasty japanese food, cute staff, great if you’re in mitte
- the turkish market on the maybachufer on tuesdays and fridays – nice for just browsing for groceries, snacks, fabric and odd little souveniers. also the area is gorgeous for walking around with the canal, the trees, the houses … close is also the café rita, which is really cute, and the koriat kuchenmanifaktor, where they have epic cakes, both on pannierstraße, and sing blackbird, which is a vegan café plus vintage shop combined
- ohlala on mainzer straße: queer/vegan shop for tartes and quiches, delicious
- datscha on gabriel-max-straße (i think): russian, cool. the area around boxhagener platz and gartenstraße is quote nice for just walking around, too
- the volksprark prenzlauer berg is supposedly really pretty
- as for activities: there’s of course the massive gerhard richter exhibit at neue nationalgalerie, then there’s ryoji ikeda at hamburger bahnhof which is really cool (as is their exhibit architektonica), and this: http://www.kw-berlin.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=22&Itemid=39&lang=en
- at mme claude there are lots of cool unknown djs and bands all the time
and that’s just on top of my head!
Cora: Oh thank you!! I will look these places up.
