I wish it could magically become spring,
overnight, immediately.

I have taken more photographs during this year than ever before. Looking at them makes me feel very pleased in an almost silly way. My archive of photography tells me that I have been depressed and happy both; heartbroken and in love, it speaks of late nights and early mornings. I think of each frame as an achievement, if a small one – a document. All of my thoughts might in time become useless, but at least I know I’ll always have something.

I have really appreciated receiving your comments and letters this year, like the one before and all of the five (!) ones that have passed since I first started blogging.

I think 2012 is going to be a rather beautiful and special year.
I have a lot to feel happy about, and I really am.

Last night I baked my favorite small cakes, topped with raspberry jam, and placed them in vintage boxes – perfect for sweet things. Today I’m giving them away as christmas gifts to some of my favorite people. Most likely I’ll have a few myself as well.
