February II

Pastel colors.
Thinking about where to go.
Soft angora cardigans.
Long walks in the snow.
Writing a novel in my mind.

Monday

I. From my birthday.
I had cake at home in the afternoon and went to the cinema with K. in the evening.
In a sense it was the nicest birthday I’ve had in recent years – I felt serene all through the day.

II. This is the book I’m currently reading.
‘Århundradets Kärlekssaga’ by Märta Tikkanen. I’m too busy at the moment to sit down and write, but I do read – always.

Birthday

Today is my twenty-second birthday.
It’s snowing and I’ve been given a bouquet of white tulips.
Soon there’ll be a table full of my favorite pastries and I’m feeling rather loved. Twenty-two is young.

Small things that make me happy right now -

I’ve bought pink tulips and plane tickets to Berlin.
The array of fifties dresses currently being stored in my closet.
Listening to classical music and writing stories at night.
Seeing the sky full of drifting clouds.

Overnight, immediately

I wish it could magically become spring,
overnight, immediately.
